Proper Way Of Handling family Photo For The Wedding Photographers

By Chunky Flik

One of the most important wedding photos for many couples is the family shot. This is the photo where the mother and father, the sisters and brothers and anyone else important to the foundation of the family come together in one or more shots. Unfortunately, as a photographer, this can also be one of the most difficult of photography shots to take. Locating everyone and getting everyone on task is difficult, to say the last. As you consider all of the options available to making this process simpler, the following tips may help you. Getting Everyone Together

There is no required area for you to pull the family together for this shot, but if everyone is available at the church, do it there. This is the ideal place because it will allow you to get everyone into the shot in a great setting with great natural light, in most cases. In addition, no one has taken off their attire nor have they had too much to drink. While those shots can be a lot of fun, for a formal wedding shot of the family, you want to try to get it in sooner rather than later.

The second thing to consider is how to get everyone together at the same time. One of the best ways to accomplish this is with a family member. Choose someone who is not the bride or groom, on either side of the family. Have both of them come together to you when you are ready to get the family photo taken. You can have the bride and groom select this person before the wedding for ease. This person can then be the person in charge of rounding up everyone that is supposed to be in this photo. This way, as the photographer, you do not have to worry about learning who is who and trying to get everyone on task.

In addition to this, be sure to allow this person to be in on the plan. Often, those who should not be in the photo will position themselves in them. The person helping you should be able to step in and pull those extra people out of the photo.

Although it may seem like such a simple task, the family photo is rarely that for the wedding photographer. This wedding photography tip can help you to get through the event easier and accomplish the right shot.

Back Up Support For The Wedding Photographer

By Chunky Flik

As you consider your first or your 101st wedding photography project, it is important to have the necessary back up plan in place. Every photographer needs to have this plan in place if they have any hope of making it through a difficult situation on the actual wedding day. The good news is that with a few well planned and executed wedding photographer tips, you can easily overcome the most common, and even the most challenging, of circumstances.

Tips For Planning For The Unknown

You have no way of knowing what could happen on the wedding day. It could be a controllable problem or something you have no ability to foresee or predict happening. The following tips will help you to plan for some of the more common wedding photographer problems.

- Have a backup plan planned for poor weather. The weather does not cooperate often and for anyone who may be considering outdoor shots, having a few backup locations is quite important. Select locations that you know well or that offer the beauty and glamour of the outdoors, although they are indoors.

- You should plan for your needs on the wedding day. For example, make a list of all equipment and supplies you need to take with you as the wedding photographer. Keep this list on hand and add anything you may forget over the course of a week. Soon, when you have done a number of photography events, this list will be set in stone.

- Plan a route for getting from place to place. Although the famous "just follow me" plan may work when going to locations unfamiliar to you, it is best to have a well laid out plan in place ahead of time. You can use free software online or an in car GPS unit to help you with this process.

- Try to attend the wedding rehearsal. This event is not one where most photographers go, but it can be one of the best things to do so that you can familiarize yourself with the layout of the locations, the people involved and even work with the bride and groom on their particular needs.

Making a few plans ahead of time will save any wedding photographer from problems on their wedding day. Although there is no way to plan for any problem, many times you can rely on these back up plans, and the bride and groom will appreciate you doing so.

Showcase Your Photos During The Wedding

By Chunky Flik

Did you know that you can take full advantage of the wedding reception not just as a way to get word of mouth advertising but also as a way to showcase the beautiful pictures you are taking? One tip that you may find useful as a wedding photographer is to bring along your laptop if you are using digital cameras. Digital cameras provide you with the ability to see the photos right away. This can actually serve as a type of advertising for you, while also adding something magical to this very special day.

With the use of your laptop at the reception, upload some of the photos that you took over the course of the day. With a bit of priming and proper placement, you could create a fast slideshow of those photos. They can easily flip through on a table by the cake or even by the wedding gifts. Guests can come over, watch the slideshow and react to the pictures (hopefully in a good way!) While this may not be something that you thought about before, it is an ideal way to showcase yourself as well.

Before you do this, take into consideration a few more things.

- Do get permission from your bride and groom (or whoever is paying you!) to provide this service. You do not want to insult others or to surprise them with something they do not like.

- Upload only those shots that will be appreciated and thought to be appropriate. In other words, you may not want to select all of the intimate ones to put in the slideshow.

- Use your down time in other portions of the day to set up the slideshow. You do not have to have a stellar laptop or even have extensive software to pull off a great looking slideshow.

- Do invest the time in approving slideshows. Not all of the photos you took throughout the day will show your best work. You want to look great in the eyes of those viewing the photos.

- Do place your business card by the laptop and allow others to pick it up. This is the type of word of mouth advertising you need.

Wedding photography tips often leave out the ways that you can advertise your services on the wedding day. Be prepared to provide your business card to anyone who asks, but this is not the place to ask for business.

Trick To Get Things Going For Wedding Photographers

By Chunky Flik

You may be a new wedding photographer. This may even be your first gig. You likely have one camera to use and you are not even sure it is the right one. How are you supposed to have two cameras for the day? It may seem like one of those wedding photography tips for someone who is a professional, but in fact it is a tip that everyone needs to take. Having a second camera will help you to avoid some negative situations and it may give you more depth. Even if you have to borrow from another photographer, it is a good idea to have the camera if it is at all possible.

Why A Second Camera Matters

There are many things that you can do to be a better wedding photographer, but you cannot predict every situation, nor have a backup plan for everything. Anything you can do to reduce the risks of actually losing the job or not being able to fulfill your duties is worth planning for. That includes having a second camera. Here is why.

- Use the second camera to help you to get a different look. A good idea is to use the second camera with a second lens. In fact, you should set up the camera with a different lens.

- Consider using the second camera with a wide angle lens. This really gives you a new perspective to work with that many couples will benefit from. The wide-angle lens is perfect for candid shots and for those shots in difficult locations.

- Set up the other camera with a longer lens. If it is possible, choose a camera that has a 200mm lens or similar. This will really give you some ideal shots. Lenses in the range of 70 to 200mm are often the best bet for weddings, when you are using two cameras.

Of course, having a second camera (and all the gear that goes with it) can be heavy. Still, it is worth having two options especially when there are so many situations that warrant the use of that second camera. For example, during the ceremony, you probably want to use a wide-angle lens for some shots and the longer lens for others. Having two options is well worth it. Do not go out and buy a second camera just yet. A wedding photography tip like this can really change the outcome of the shoot.

Wedding Photographer Tips For Changing Things Up

By Chunky Flik

Most people have a wedding album that is full with great shots. If you put those albums together, though, you will likely see a number of similarities. From one to the next, you will find the same formal shots. Parents with the bride and groomthe wedding party lined upand the church altar scenes, are some of the most common in albums. There is no doubt that many couples want the photos they feel are the most formal and necessary to have. Yet, this should not stop you, as the wedding photographer, from getting creative with the shots you take. In fact, it may increase the photos your clients walk away with.

There are many ways for you to change up the look of the photos, to make the more interesting and unique. Consider the following tips:

- Dazzle your couple by taking a shot of them at the wedding alter from behind. Get the backs of the heads of the guests and the long aisle in front of them. This is an easy way to get an interesting shot during the ceremony.

- Change up the angles of the shots. Although many wedding photographers limit the number and type of lenses they use, do not make this mistake. Rather, invest the time in changing up the lenses, and do include a wide lens.

- Get down low. Instead of taking a shot of the couple from a normal level, get down low and take the shot. This creates a beautiful image, especially when you get the lighting right.

- Get up high. Get a ladder and take shows from up high. Imagine taking a wedding shot from the top of the balcony in the church, down onto the couple with the guests in view. It could be a stunning product.

- Make the couple laugh, catch them holding hands or just talking quietly. These are all shots that show real life feelings and provide the best look at the wedding day itself. They can be magical, in fact.

As a wedding photographer, you want to provide your clients with all of the formal shots they need, but you also will benefit from offering them unique shots that they may love. You can never be too creative, especially if you are using digital film with plenty of options to select from. Changing things up also helps you to flex your skills and show off your talent.

Good Profits In Wedding Photography

By Chunky Flik

Wedding photography is a job that you can do and do well. The difference of it being a job and a career is dependent on the amount of passion you have for photography and your ability to make it profitable. Although it is possible to find numerous jobs as a wedding photographer with agencies, some of the most profitable work comes from working alone, as your own business. Before you can get to that point, you need to ensure you are taking steps to make your business profitable.

Getting Referrals

One of the hardest things that a wedding photographer needs to do is to get referrals from others. It is not easy to do, because you are asking for business, but it is a profitable thing to do. Your business relies on it. There are likely hundreds of wedding photographers in your area. It is difficult to stand out from the rest of them if you do not take full advantage of word of mouth advertising.

Here are some tips to help you to get the best results when asking for a referral.

- Do network. Although your primary business is with the client (usually the bride and groom) do not forget that you also have other people you are in contact with that could be future clients as well. For example, the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom may have other children. Impress them and ask them to think of you.

- Provide your card to those who request it at the wedding ceremony, reception or any place along the way. Make yourself approachable and be sure to answer questions that people pose to you as you can. For example, you should not stop in the middle of a shoot to discuss someone else's needs for a photographer, but you should make the time to talk with them.

- Do take the time to talk to your wedding party, too. Anyone that you meet is someone that could be a future client. Not only should you ask for referrals but also you should treat those people as you would like to be treated.

Wedding photography is profitable but it can only be profitable if you take steps to make it that way. Advertising through referrals is one of the best ways to go. People trust those they know more than they trust an ad they see online.

Nice Spot Essential In Perfect Wedding Photography

By Chunky Flik

As a wedding photographer, it is your job to get the shot, all of the shots, which your couple wants to have to remember their wedding day. Although most professional photographers probably realize the importance of actually knowing the location they are traveling to, if you are going someplace new or you are a new wedding photographer, this tip is very important. Go to the location on your own, a few days before the wedding, to scope out the location. This provides you with some help in the planning and can help you to look more like the professional wedding photographer.

What To Look For

When you arrive on location, there are several things to think about. It does not matter of the location is indoors or out, there are several things to remember.

- What type of surface is it? Will dresses get dirty and shoes ruined? If it is likely to rain for an outdoor shot, find a way to prevent these disasters, or have your guests prepare for them in some way ahead of time.

- Look at the size of the area where you will be taking the shots. Is it large enough for group shots or will these be couple shots? Notice any hills or uneven areas, as this will affect your group shots.

- Do focus on the location's lighting. Lighting is important for every shot you take. It is especially important for the indoor shots. You can determine what type of lighting you will need to add to the space, and determine what types of changes you should make to your positions of the photos to ensure that the lighting is right.

- Consider any limitations on the space. For example, if the location is restricted for use, will your wedding party get into the location without a problem, especially on the weekend? Find out if there are any other considerations for the location.

- Consider taking a few test shots with the couples in areas where there may be difficulty. These can be great engagement shots or a "free" offer you provide. It can help you to pinpoint any problems ahead of time.

Taking the time to visit the locations of each of the wedding photographs ahead of time will make a difference in the final shot. It may take a few minutes out of your day, but is well worth the investment of your time when the shots come out fantastic.

Is There A Need To Have A Second Photographer

By Chunky Flik

Many wedding photographers do not want to have two photographers on the shoot if they can help it. After all, this may decrease the amount of money you can make. However, it is best to have two in many circumstances, especially in any circumstance where one person is not enough to handle the job professionally. Having a second photographer may be one of those tips that you do not want to hear, but consider why it is so helpful to you.

Why Two Photographers Are Important

Not every circumstance will require the use of two photographers. In many instances, having just one is enough, such as a small-scale wedding without a large guest list or numerous locations to visit. Here are some instances and reasons a second photographer will be helpful for.

- Having two photographers will mean that you have to move less during those intricate moments of the day, such as during the ceremony and during any speeches that take place. This opens the door up to more shots and provides less distraction from you to the guests.

- Having two photographers during the wedding shoot can help you to get both formal shots as well as the candid shots that make the most positive impression on the guests.

- As a wedding photographer, you will have a variety of guests approach you with requests. This is not possible to handle if you are the only person who is taking photos. It helps to take some of the pressure off of you.

When do you need a second photographer? Not every instance requires them. If your couple expects a large number of photos to be taken, or they are interested in a variety of shots, ensure there are two photographers available. You may only need a second photographer for part of the event, such as at the wedding ceremony. This can help to cut down the costs while still providing you with plenty of pictures for the event.

Keep in mind that pleasing the customer is one of those wedding photography tips that you cannot ignore. To do that, you may need to have a second photographer by your side to help. Talk to your clients about the need for two photographers and the limitations that come from having just one, if there are any. This allows you to tailor costs to be better suited for two professionals being at the event.

Essence Of A Diffused Light In Wedding Photography

By Chunky Flik

As a wedding photographer, you do not need to be told how to accomplish tasks like taking the right pictures or getting light right. However, it is important that you perfect one skill to provide your clients with the very best finished product. That is to learn to diffuse light properly. You need to learn how to bounce a flash or to diffuse. Without this skill, you may struggle in some situations to get the right shot at the right time. The light changes throughout any circumstance of the wedding day. You need to stay in step with it.

The good news is that once you perfect the ability to diffuse light, you are less likely to have trouble getting the right shot. Consider the fact that many churches have a light level that is not conducive to photo taking. It is very low. Some churches do not allow you to use any type of flash photography, which can be limiting and that should be something you address with your couple ahead of time.

In situations where you are able to use a flash camera, you need to determine if you can bounce the flash. Consider the surroundings carefully. For example, if you bounce the flash off of a colored surface, it will add a touch of that color to the photos in a colored cast. In some situations, this is not appropriate. You may need to buy a flash diffuser to soften the light considerably.

Whenever you are unable to use the flash, you will need to have a fast lens that has wide apertures or (and in some cases and) you will need to increase the ISO. In these situations, it may be a good idea to use image stabilization if you have that ability.

As you can tell, it is important to scope out the surroundings in advance so that you know what type of equipment you need to have on hand. If you do not plan to do this, be prepared with your full arsenal of options. Keep in mind that you are not just planning for one space, either. You will need to scope out each of the sites that you will be shooting shots at. Wedding photography done right will mean understanding the importance of bouncing the flash and diffusion. Polish up on these skills so that you shine, and that your photos do not!

Wedding Photography Tip For Deleting As You Go

By Chunky Flik

Are you the type of wedding photographer that spends a lot of his or her time going back and looking at the photos just taken? Perhaps you like to know what you have and what you still need. It is fine to look, but keep your figure off the delete button just yet. An effective camera will provide you with hundreds, if not thousands of shots to take. You do not need to delete photos at this point. Rather, keep them on hand.

Why not just dump the bad shots as you go. This is a possibility, of course, but the problem is that the view finder on most cameras does not provide you with nearly enough information to make such a drastic decision. In other words, you do need to know what the finished product will look like when you look at it on a full size screen. You never know what you have there until you actually look at them close up.

For example, one way to use these shots with some type of flaw in them is to crop them down to size. Perhaps you do not like the way that the couple is smiling. This may be enough to cut out the picture. On the other hand, you could crop the photo down considerably and get a picture of their up-close hands, grasped around their rings. This could make a stellar photo your couple wants to have. There are many other ways to crop the images to improve the overall composition of them a well.

Consider the options. You could keep them for a bit more time and delete them later. It does not hurt you to carry them away from the wedding. On the other hand, if you were to delete the photos as you go, you may lose valuable pictures that you were not intending to lose. It is so easy to delete the wrong images, after all!

Digital cameras definitely make it far easier for most to wedding photographers to get that beautiful image. It is often very easy to take advantage of these benefits. Deleting pictures is not something should do on the screen. Give yourself at least until you get back to your studio to look at the pictures closer. You never know what gems you may have in these otherwise discarded images. After all, it does not cost you anything to do this.

More Megapixels, better camera?

By Andrew Brown

For those looking to buy a new digital camera one of the easiest to follow guides to get a rough idea of a digital cameras overall quality is the megapixel count.

Megapixels are each a million sensor pixels, each of which senses when it is hit by photons of light and builds up information about what colour that pixel of the image should be during the exposure. The maximum resolution of photograph a camera can take is restricted by the size of their sensor. The information from all of the pixels is then combined to create a digital image of small blocks, each with colour and light information. Cameras that have too low a megapixel count will show this in their blocky and undetailed images.

The megapixel count for a given camera can be calculated by multiplying the height by the width of the maximum size image the camera can take and alternatively a rough idea of the maximum resolution can be gained by doing the reverse.

Very high megapixel counts have positive and negative features, in low light conditions too few photons hit each individual pixel as they are very small leading to noisy and unclear images. It also means the photos created contain more information resulting in longer processing time and needing more storage so it may be harder to take as many photos in a limited time and fewer will be stored on a given memory card. Noisy is a variable problem with high megapixel sensors, this is when adjacent pixels interfere with each other leading to the creation of image pixels with the wrong colours, usually very visible as speckles on dark areas of photographs.

Cameras that create a lot of noise can be avoided, there are high megapixel count cameras that deal with it well so it is a good idea to look at sample photos taken by a model or try it for yourself.

The advantages of higher megapixel counts include far higher levels of detail and the absence of blockiness. It is also useful for less experienced photographers as the larger size and detail of the photos produced allowed cropping, that is removing parts of the image, to reframe the image to improve its placement of the subject. Larger megapixel counts are also better for any use of photographs that will display them in a larger way such as on a large print or even a poster, the extra pixels will keep it sharp as the image is expanded.

Manufacturers are well aware of the advantages and disadvantages of higher megapixel counts as well as their customers' perception that more is always better which leads them to match the higher pixel counts with higher end hardware and better cameras making the pixel count a good indication of the overall quality of the camera.

If you are buying new digital cameras a higher megapixel count is a good indication of the overall quality of it and where it is placed in a range in comparison to other cameras. It is a positive feature of a camera to have a higher count but should not lead a buyer to ignore the other features a camera has and compare them between models.

Higher megapixel cameras are becoming an increasingly popular inclusion on most mobile phones. This can be seen on many new smartphones releases like the LG Optimus 2X.

Travel photography: A guide

By Bronson Schecter

Travel photography has seen a huge rise in popularity in the last ten years or so. This is because there has been a surge of affordable professional standard cameras, and so it is not just the professionals who can get amazing looking photographs of their travels. There are many reasons for taking photos of your journeys, maybe just to prove you've been there or to solidify a memory, but some have sought to do it as an art and a profession. To do this, a nice SLR will only take you part of the way, but this article will point you in the direction of the rest.

Before anything else it is vital that you come into possession of a decent camera and the knowledge of how to use it. Digital SLRs are the way to go for this because film can get very expensive in the long term, and the ability to look at your pictures straight away makes it easier to learn. Rather than sticking with the extremely specific fixed focal length lens your camera probably came with, you should also invest in a more versatile lens.

Understanding the equipment is as important as owning them. Take a long time reading the manual and taking photos with varying settings to get a feel for the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO (or film speed), taking note of the effect it has on the picture.

Now you have your equipment and you have a good understanding of how it works, you can go on to just getting out there and snapping as much as you can. Learning by doing is always preferable than reading, but there are some things you should know just to get you started. For example, midday is not a good time for taking photographs because it makes photographs look shallow when compared with the long interesting shadows that come with late afternoon and early morning. Remember that your surroundings can aid you substantially too. Solid objects like walls or trees can help to steady your hand, and don't be afraid of embarrassing yourself to get a photograph from an interesting vantage point.

Like many things it is practice that will really set you apart from other travel photographers. The more pictures you take in different environments with different equipment, the more you will learn and the more creative you will become. Soon enough you will start interpreting everything you see through a lens.

There is an Easel Stand for Everything!

By Kylie Scott

Whether you are looking for the perfect display stand for your business, your home or your corporate presentation, the easel stand is the perfect choice. Many people don't realize what a wide range of sizes and styles of easels are available on the market today. Those who do have found innumerable uses for these versatile and attractive stands.

Have you ever noticed how your favorite painting looks stale after hanging in the same spot on the wall for years? After awhile, you don't even notice it. Take it down from the wall and place it on an easel stand and you will love it again.

Do you have a piece of fine antique or collectible china? Display it in style on a stand on your mantelpiece. If you have a souvenir shop or kitchen and dining ware boutique, there is simply no better way to put your finest goods on display.

Have you ever noticed how eye-catching an open book displayed on a floor stand is? Bookstore owners know that if they display a particular large format, illustrated book on a floor stand, sales of that title increase exponentially. In the home, instead of having your favorite art book take up space on the coffee table, display it in a decorative floor stand.

Have you ever noticed how a poster on an easel stands out in an office reception area, while one mounted on the wall seems to get lost? An easel stand is the best way to promote your product inside the office. Whether it is a poster for a brand name you represent or an informational poster, it will get the attention it deserves if it is on a stand.

How do you make your products make their mark amongst all the others on display at a trade show? The simple answer is: use easel stands. They are the perfect choice for trade show displays. Not only are they easy to move, they come in innumerable styles and sizes. You can have a floor stand outside in the hall, another one just outside of your booth and many other smaller ones inside, to hold pamphlets and leaflets and to display products.

There is not a single business that can't find a good use for an easel stand. If there is anything that can be displayed on one, it should be displayed on one. Books, flyers, promotional posters - anything at all that needs to be seen will be seen on a stand, while it will be overlooked if it is lying flat. Not to be overlooked, either, is the fact that they can be folded or collapsed, making them easy to move or store away when not in use.

You can undoubtedly think of many uses for them yourself. It would be impossible to make a complete list of all the possible uses you can find for them. Whether you want a 4 inch counter display stand or a large floor stand, there is a perfect easel stand for every conceivable need.

Easel Stands for Every Budget and Need

By Kylie Scott

Whatever you need, be it an easel stand for whiteboard presentations or a decorative model for showing off your finest antique china, there will be one that will suit your needs to a "tee." Some styles are purpose-built and very cheap in price, but not in quality. Others are handcrafted or meticulously machined to serve a multitude of purposes.

The type of easel stand you typically find in classrooms everywhere is an example of a purely utilitarian stand. These serve one purpose only: to carry a whiteboard at a convenient height for both the user and the viewers. It has been a standard visual aid in classrooms for generations and is yet to be surpassed as a vehicle for enhancing any form of lesson or presentation.

A more elaborate floor easel may be flippable vertically or rotatable horizontally. This kind of easel stand is ideal when a presentation requires one to refer back to previous information or to use one side of the board to display a promotional poster and the other to aid him in his presentation.

While in some situations, such as in school classrooms, a semi-permanent easel stand on wheels will suffice. It can simply been rolled out or the way when it isn't needed. At other times, a more portable stand is a more appropriate choice. Salesmen on the go, for instance, need a more easily transportable display stand. There are dozens of designs that can fulfill their requirements perfectly, whatever they may be.

The salesperson who must always be doing his presentations in different locations needs something that can be neatly folded away and transported. For his needs, a tripod easel or a bi-fold easel is perfect. Many of these can simply be collapsed. Their legs may be telescopic, like a camera tripod, or folding. Made from lightweight materials such as aluminum, they are smart looking, inexpensive and very useful.

Variety and functionality are not limited to floor easels, either. There are any number of tabletop designs to choose from that are equally useful. Many of these, such as the lectern stand, are designed for specific purposes. Others are general purpose stands. They might be used to hold a whiteboard or a flow chart diagram for a business presentation. These slip easily into a briefcase, so can be available for use anywhere on a moment's notice.

Not to be overlooked are the hundreds of decorative uses easel stands can be put to. Works of art, rare or favorite books, family photographs, collectible plates and even fine wines are just a few of the many uses decorative easels can be put to.

The combination of utilitarian construction with an attractive design makes the ideal easel stand. An easel like this is not hard to find and is remarkably inexpensive.

Ranking Of The Finest Digital Camera Models Presently Available In The Market

By Mike Morrisson

Looking to buy a digital cameras? Trying to find out which is the best digital camera to buy? Well, in this posting, we'll discuss the very best digital cameras of 2010 and discover the pros and cons of each one.

You'll find a great deal of factors you have to consider when you're purchasing a digital camera. These include but aren't limited to the brand, the cost, the features, the build, the consumer reviews, etc. Herein, I'm compiling a long list of the best digital cameras according to me. To really make it in this list, a camera needs to be really good because I'm somebody who is pleased by simply almost every other technology wonder! It requires to be seriously, really special to obtain a mention.

So, here we go...

Nikon D7000 - Nikon is appropriate up there with Canon in terms of making digital cameras, in my opinion. This one is a testament to their benchmarks. A truly spectacular camera with a wonderful viewfinder; the Nikon D70000 has been loved by one and all. It's slightly on the pricey side yet, the price is cent percent justified.

It is a 16.2 Megapixel camera and it also enables you to take stunning videos in full HD (1080P). There are so many features that it'll complete more than a few webpages. If you're a professional photographer, this is for you. If you're not really a professional photographer, but someone who wants to take beautiful pictures, this is for you.

You'll understand what I'm referring to once you hold this camera in your hand. Its an absolute masterpiece - the buttons, knobs, controllers have been positioned at the best locations which makes it easier to use. The picture quality is nothing lower than amazing. What's better still is the fact that this camera is one of the few that you can tote around when traveling. It is among the lighter ones. I looked up for this camera's reviews online and it seems like most people are in agreement with me. It gets an average of 4.5 stars.

Canon EOSD 5D - This camera comes a close second. Actually, I'd say there's a tie between the first as well as second. This is an equally great camera and if you prefer the Canon brand, this is for you. It's a bit limited in the video capabilities though therefore if you're high on video, this isn't the camera for you. Other than that, the picture quality rocks ! and you'd adore it, I'm sure. It is costlier than the Nikon's therefore if your budget is limited, choose the Nikon.

This one is 12.8 MP with a 2.5 inch LCD digital display. One con for me was that it didn't mount as a drive after i connected it to my Mac. I was able to transfer my work eventually however, I had to undergo a totally distinct (and painstakingly difficult!) route.

For image quality & overall features, I'd give this camera a 4 start. For those other things mentioned previously, including the price, I give it a 3 star.

Nikon Coolpix S8100 - If you're purchasing on a critically limited budget, this is actually the camera for you. Though it's nowhere close to the quality of the two I've mentioned above, you receive what you pay for. In this case, though, you receive far more than what you pay for. The price is extremely low and when you retain that in mind, the standard and all the other features are extremely good.

I'm not too fond of the body design, though. The controls are put in awkward locations and also you find yourself doing things you didn't set out to! All in all, this digital camera gets a 2.5 star based on the characteristics as well as the cost.

The Best In Oil paintings

By Young Lowery

When did you last visit a museum or art gallery and admire beautiful paintings for sale? Haven't you wished to own a Van Gogh or a Rembrandt? Maybe you are a talented artist yourself, if so, do you know the basics of this beautiful art? Let's look into the fundamentals to gain some wonderful insight. Oil painting basically has 4 main attributes to which special attention should be focused. First of all, consider the composition which is the placing of forms, lines and different items within your canvas. Color is a vital element, therefore proper blending is required in order to make a painting 'eye catching'. Now, incorporate the 'depth' or the value feature which is done by making overlapping strokes. Focus on the texture next, which is painting with thin or thick strokes on various areas on your canvas distributing colors accordingly.Learn to blend in two colors at strategic points where they meet so that a natural look is created. Doe is a good instructor who can perhaps help you out.

How can you start the process without knowing the essential 'tools of the trade? You'll need, oil paints of course, oil painting brushes, mediums and thinners, canvas and painting panels and there is some art studio equipment which is also required. The most important part of course is deciding the subject of your painting. If you wish to display your oil paintings for sale, you need to adopt a more professional and sharper approach. Flaws should never be apparent. Only with continued practice can you fine tune your painting skills to work wonders on a canvas.

Creating paintings for sale requires certain steps towards their durability. Don't think your job is over after you've finished painting your picture. If you want your painting to remain intact for eons, make sure you do the necessary layering, priming etc. Such processes will keep your painting from peeling, cracking and basically will not let it fall apart. First and foremost, use only fresh paint for your work.A universal principle to be followed in oil painting is to paint thick over thin and fat over lean. Understand the nature of the paints used. Some paints dry faster, use cremsor or flake white for the under layers. In order to speed up the drying process, liquin can be used. This will ensure that the under layers will be dry by the next morning. Get a guide book to make your painting process easier.

A Huge Canvas Photo Gift to a Grandmother

By Jeff Hardy

My wife and I had to relocate when my son was just 6 months old. I work in a big corporate and the relocation offer I got was a huge promotion for me. We had to make all the way from New York City to London and the hardest part was to separate my newborn from his grandmother. Luckily, at the age of internet, my mother can follow him growing up on a daily basis using the video calls in Skype (before she didn't touch a computer...).

When Nathan, my boy was almost 12 months my mother urged me to celebrate his first birthday back home. Unfortunately, this was a very busy time at work and I couldn't do that. My wife had a wonderful idea - she took a nice picture of Nathan playing in the park and ordered a huge canvas photo (1:1) to my mother. The canvas photo is actually a canvas print very easy to order. The guys from magnipic.com transferred the photo to canvas, stretched it over and wrapped it for delivery. My mother got the canvas photo after a few days and called us the minute she got it. She was with tears in her eyes when she described her excitement. She did a short investigation to my wife on how she can order more photos on canvas, and after a short discussion my wife sent her a few photos on Nathan.

A week later I got a call from her and she showed over the internet camera 4 more canvas photos she ordered from magnipic.com.

This photo on canvas must have been the greatest gift I gave her ever!

Magnipic can turn any photo into a stunning artwork with high quality Canvas Prints. Canvas Prints will inspire any event or living space with amazing Artistic Effects that can turn any photo into an artwork.

In some ways, the area is reminiscent of what Yellowstone could have been if it had not been set aside as a national park, and each geyser basin were privately owned, charging its own admission. Yellowstone actually has a lot more geysers than Rotorua, but there are still plenty of hot springs and boiling mud pits.

2. The Bay of Plenty - The Bay of Plenty is a beautiful destination in the Northern Island. The bay has something for everyone, for those people who want a relaxing time then you can go walking and take in the fabulous scenery, alternatively if you want something a bit more fast paced then white-water rafting, kayaking, parasailing or jet boating is also on offer here.

3. Milford Sound - Milford Sound is an incredible place, it's a fjord located in the south west of the South Island, within Fiordland National Park and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. Milford Sound has won many awards for being a top tourist destination and Rudyard Kipling named it the eighth Wonder of the World. A boat tour allows you to get up close and personal to the amazing waterfalls and is thoroughly recommended.

4. Punakaiki - Punakaiki is a small community on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand, between Westport and Greymouth. The Pancake Rocks are a very popular tourist goal at Dolomite Point south of the main village. The Pancake Rocks are a heavily eroded limestone area where the sea bursts though a number of vertical blowholes during high tides. An unusual and mysterious sight it's also an unmissable stop on the country's tourist trail.

5. Mount Cook - Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand, reaching a height of 3,754 metres (12,316 ft) it lies in the Southern Alps, the mountain range which runs the length of the South Island. It's a very popular tourist destination because it's such a beautiful sight, it is also a favourite challenge for mountain climbers.

Recovering Digital Images

By Greg Tilley

Photos capture moments that happen only once in our lives. Because they are so important, losing them just feels so bad. This can prove to be very frustrating since the moment is gone, and there is no other way to ever capture it again.

You still have a chance of recovering your photo even if it seems your camera isn't working properly. You might not know it, but you can actually recover digital photos. Digital cameras often use smart cards for storage of data. It's always better to save your photos to the card and transfer them to your computer, then make a backup CD or DVD.

You might accidentally move photographs to the recycle bin in your computer. You can simply undo this by opening the recycle bin window. You can just drag the pictures from the recycle bin to the desktop or right click them and choose restore. The digital photographs will be returned to their previous location.

There are times when it's not that easy, though. If the card in your camera has become corrupted or if your camera has experienced hardware problems, then it won't be so easy to recover your pictures. If this happens, you should contact a professional technician or look for a software. There are softwares specially designed for digital camera data recovery.

You can recover photos and videos from your digital camera with the use of softwares or with the help of professionals. Many people transfer files from digital cameras to computers for data recovery purposes. If that isn't done beforehand, you'll need a professional to recover your data. You can save all your photos if you go to a professional immediately.

Nowadays, digital cameras are very common possessions. You don't have to worry if your pictures are lost, because softwares or professionals can do the job for you. Your digital photographs are very important, which is why you'll want to take care of them. Accidents can happen, which is why recovery services are available.
